1. Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and China's e-commerce giant Alibaba signed an agreement to provide global platform to Indian small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The agreement will facilitate greater economic engagement between Indian and Chinese SMEs.
भारतीय उद्योग परिसंघ (सीआईआई) और चीन की ई-कॉमर्स की दिग्गज कंपनी अलीबाबा ने भारतीय लघु और मध्यम उद्यमों (एसएमई) के लिए वैश्विक मंच प्रदान करने हेतु एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। समझौता भारतीय और चीनी एसएमई के बीच अधिक से अधिक आर्थिक सहयोग को सहज करेगा।
2. Indicating acute shortage of skilled workforce, India has been ranked 78th globally in terms of talent competitiveness of its human capital, while Switzerland has topped the charts. In the list of 93 countries - compiled by INSEAD business school in partnership with Adecco and Human Capital Leadership Institute of Singapore (HCLI) - Switzerland is followed by Singapore, Luxembourg, Denmark, United States and Canada in the top five.
भारत श्रमबल में प्रतिभा प्रतिस्पर्धा के मामले में वैश्विक स्तर पर 78वें स्थान पर है। इससे भारत में श्रमबल में कौशल की कमी का पता चलता है। वहीं इस सूची में स्विट्जरलैंड शीर्ष पर है। इनसीड बिजनेस स्कूल ने एडेको व ह्यूमन कैपिटल लीडरशिप इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ सिंगापुर (एचसीएलआई) के साथ भागीदारी में 93 देशों की यह सूची तैयार की है। सूची में स्विट्जरलैंड के बाद सिंगापुर, लग्जमबर्ग, अमेरिका तथा कनाडा का स्थान आता है।

4. Aiming at preserving and rejuvenating the rich cultural heritage, government launched the ambitious Heritage Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY). It is a Rs. 500 crore project for 12 cities. The 12 cities selected for the scheme are Ajmer, Amritsar, Amravati, Badami, Dwarka, Gaya, Warangal, Puri, Kanchipuram, Mathura, Varanasi and Vellankanni.
केंद्र सरकार ने एक बड़ी पहल करते हुए महत्वाकांक्षी नेशनल हेरिटेज सिटी डेवलपमेंट एंड ऑगमेंटेशन योजना (एचआरआइडीएवाइ) का शुभारंभ किया। इसका उद्देश्य देश के विरासत शहरों का पुनरुद्धार करना है। यह 12 शहरों के विकास के लिए 500 करोड़ रुपये की परियोजना है। सरकार के 12 हेरिटेज शहरों में अमृतसर, वाराणसी, गया, पुरी, अजमेर, मथुरा, द्वारका, बादामी, वालंकनी, कांचीपुरम, अमरावती और वारंगल हैं।

The Narendra Modi government has created a record for opening the maximum number of bank accounts in the shortest possible time under the government's flagship financial inclusion scheme, Jan Dhan Yojana. Its name has been entered in Guinness Book of World Records. All together, 11.5 crore accounts have been opened under Jan Dhan Yojana in less than five months.
